About Rancocas Nature Center

Rancocas Nature Center located in Westampton, Burlington County, New Jersey is easily accessible from I-295 or the NJ Turnpike. The Rancocas Nature Center is situated on a 210 acre piece of the Westampton side of the Rancocas State Park, featuring three miles of hiking trails through varied habitats including meadows, forest, and wetlands.

The Nature Center, in operation since 1977, has been providing environmental education for the surrounding community. Programs are both on and off-site for groups including schools, scouts, libraries, senior citizens, as well as the general public.

The Friends of Rancocas Nature Center will promote stewardship and provide environmental education for the Rancocas State Park and surrounding communities through the operation of the Rancocas Nature Center.

The Rancocas Nature Center has been established through a  partnership between public and non-profit organizations.  These organizations are the  NJ Department of Environmental Protection - Parks & Forestry, the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders,   and the Friends of the Nature Center at Rancocas State Park.
